《你的名字》在日本院线一直没有真正的完全下档，大概也是东宝方面想靠延长时间积累票房最好能超越《冰雪奇缘》在日本的 254 亿日元票房纪录。目前新海诚与宫崎骏各自的新作长篇动画电影预定在 2019 年上映，不过迪士尼方面宣布《冰雪奇缘 2》与《狮子王》真人版预定在 2019 年上映，2019 日本电影市场在动画方面怕是要爆发一场惨烈的战争。
迪士尼在今天一口气的公布了 2018 年到 2021 年上映电影作品时间表，在 2018 年迪士尼将推出《复仇者联盟无限战争》、《花木兰》真人版、《超人总动员 2》，2019 年将上映《神奇队长》（3 月 8 日）、《复仇者联盟》（5 月 3 日）、《星球大战 9 》（5 月 24 日）、《玩具总动员 4》（ 6 月 21 日）、《狮子王》真人版（ 7 月 19 日）、《冰雪奇缘 2》（11 月 27 日），2020 年到 2021 年的作品目前都是名称未定，2020 年 7 月 10 日《夺宝奇兵》系列的最新电影预定上映，同年还有 3 部漫威的真人电影要上映。
虽说《冰雪奇缘 2》是安排在 2019 年年底的时候上映，可能到日本上映都要 2020 年，但《冰雪奇缘》当初在中国、日本以及世界各主要电影市场的超高票房成绩，怕不是又要在日本创造出新的票房纪录，而新海诚与宫崎骏各自的新作动画电影目前还是预定在 2019 年上映，遇到《冰雪奇缘 2》这样一部强大的票房对手，日本动画电影与迪士尼动画电影在票房上要正面肛一波，观众欢天喜地，发行商与制作方则是压力山大
